About

A message from the Principal:

Welcome to Haralson County High School!  My name is Vic Coggins, and I am honored to serve as Principal of HCHS.  I have twenty-three years of educational experience as a teacher and administrator in Paulding, Carroll, and Haralson County schools.  I was born and raised in Haralson County and had the privilege of attending Tallapoosa Elementary, West Haralson Jr. High, and graduated from Haralson County High School in 1995.  I have earned a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from the University of West Georgia, a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University, and a Specialists Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University.

I look forward to another year of supporting the excellent work of the Faculty and Staff at HCHS. We will strive to continue the current successes of our school but also constantly seek ways to improve.  Our goal is to provide the best education possible for all our students no matter what difficult circumstances we currently face.  Along with the input and support of our community stakeholders, we will continue meeting the mission and vision of the Haralson County School District.

HCSD MISSION: The Haralson County School District will produce high-achieving students who will graduate and become productive and responsible citizens.

HCSD VISION: The Haralson County School District will be recognized as a leader in improving student achievement for all students.

Again, I am truly honored to be given this opportunity to serve as HCHS Principal and work for the HCHS community.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share about our school.  It is going to be a great year at HCHS!

Go Rebels!

Sincerely,
Vic Coggins, HCHS Principal
