Celebrates Harold Shedd Foundation & Music Gallery Vision Unveiling
The Greater Haralson Chamber proudly welcomes the Harold Shedd Foundation as a new member of the Chamber – and just last Friday, participated in the official unveiling of the Harold Shedd Music Gallery vision during a special event and free concert by grammy-nominated Caleb Lee Hutchinson on Friday, June 20 at The Hub, located at 119 Hamilton Ave, Bremen Ga.
The event, held in downtown Bremen, marked an exciting milestone in the city’s ongoing growth in arts, culture and tourism. Tara Chapman, President and CEO of the Greater Haralson Chamber, provided remarks at the unveiling ceremony, formally welcoming the Harold Shedd Foundation as a valued part of the Chamber community and honoring the legacy of music producer and Haralson County native Harold Shedd.
“We are thrilled to see the Harold Shedd Music Gallery come to life here in Haralson County,” said Chapman. “This project will not only honor the incredible legacy of Harold Shedd but also serve as a cultural landmark that will drive tourism and enrich the fabric of our town for years to come.”
The Harold Shedd Music Gallery will showcase the career and impact of Harold Shedd, whose influence shaped country and southern rock music. The unveiling was followed by a free community concert featuring a performance by American Idol runner-up and Grammy-nominated artist Caleb Lee Hutchinson, a West Georgia native who was discovered by Shedd when he was just 13 years old, during the West Georgia Singoff.
The Chamber anticipates that the gallery and future museum will significantly contribute to Bremen’s cultural tourism efforts and provide new opportunities for economic development in Haralson County.
