The puberty talk for girls is an informative session that aims to provide girls with essential knowledge about the changes their bodies will experience during adolescence. Alongside the talk, a 'first period kit' is provided to help girls feel prepared and confident when their first period arrives. The kit includes sanitary products such as pads or tampons, personal hygiene products, and a supportive note to assure them that this is a normal and natural part of growing up. For Girls ages 8 and up WHO SHOULD SIGN UP: Girls who have not started or have just entered puberty, Attend as an child/adult pair (like a girl with her mom, or any awesome trusted adult!), WHAT WILL WE LEARN? Introduction to your body and its parts, How boys and girls are different, What puberty does to our bodies and brains, Rules about respect for your body and others’ bodies, Introduction to periods, Emotions First Period Kit given to all attendees.
