Arbor Day Tree Planting and Memorial Dedication

Arbor Day is a day set aside each year to plant trees and honor their numerous benefits. Although national observance takes place in April, Georgia celebrates the holiday on the third Friday in February to utilize ideal planting conditions. Keep Haralson Beautiful will plant a maple tree at the Log Cabin located in the Helton Howland Park and dedicate a memorial to one of Keep Haralson Beautiful’s founding members. A representative from the City of Tallapoosa and Keep Haralson Beautiful will contribute to the dedication. Media is invited to cover the event.
