April Business Spotlight - Haralson County Farm Bureau

The Greater Haralson Chamber proudly presents our April Business Spotlight - Haralson County Farm Bureau!

We interviewed Kim Hindmon to learn more about Haralson County Farm Bureau.

Tell us about your business.
Georgia Farm Bureau was founded in 1937 by 37 farmers in Bartow County. Since that time an office has been established in every county in Georgia.

How long have you been in business?
Haralson County Farm Bureau was founded in 1943.

Why did you choose Haralson County for your business?
Since Farm Bureau wanted to have an office all across the state, they chose Buchanan in Haralson County since it is the county seat.

Tell us something we may not know about your business.
Haralson County Farm Bureau is an affiliate of Georgia Farm Bureau Federation which is a non-profit organization. Our main purpose is to promote Agriculture in our community and to be the Voice of Georgia Farmers in the legislative arena. The agents in the Haralson County office work for Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance Company. So we are two entities in one building. Insurance is one of the many benefits that we offer for being a Farm Bureau member and that cost is $35 per year.
